BALTIMORE, MD Call for volunteer printers: Open Works has thirteen 3D printers that we can use to help print parts for protective face shields, however 3D printing takes time and we need help to get more parts in the hands of those on the frontlines. We are calling for volunteers who have access to 3D printers to help keep production going by printing on personal 3D printers. Are you interested in using your social distancing time to run prints and put your personal 3D printer(s) to good use? Please fill out the questionnaire below and we will follow up with you about production needs and coordinate drop-off of parts and we’ll get them in the hands of medical professionals.

If you are in or near LOWELL MA, please join this effort: https://lowellmakes.com/covid-19-response/ My understanding is they are coordinating with Mass General. I have heard from at least one printer who said they are overwhelmed and telling printers to find local groups. If you have information about this I can post, email mraulston@trulinecm.com

In an effort to coordinate and facilitate the development of new innovations that flatten the COVID19 curve and protect and empower our front-line clinical staff, we have launched a Mass General Brigham Center for COVID Innovation. The Center will serve to: 1) identify and empower experts from inside and outside Mass General Brigham that can move meritorious ideas towards practice, and 2) help identify internal and external resources necessary to operationalize these ideas. We are asking people with innovative ideas and potential production technologies to reach out to us at: covid_innovation@partners.org
